Laughter on the 23rd Floor

ENMU students and local community, we invite you to join us Sept 24th, 25th, 26th at 7:00pm and Sunday 27th at 2:00pm for the renowned and hilarious play Laughter on the 23rd Floor. Written by Neil Simon and directed by Jon Barr this knee-slapping comedy is a great date night for any theater lover. Set in a 1950s comedy writers room for a popular TV show, a group of writers battle to create a show that will keep the NBC bigwigs at bay while fighting off the paranoia of McCarthyism that is sweeping the country. Their brilliant but intoxicated boss Max Price, demands excellence of his writers while barely being able to stand up straight. With a little persuasion and a few holes in the wall, this tight knit group of writers follow their discombobulated boss into the new, golden age of television.

The play contains some of the off-color language language you’d expect to hear in a comedy writers room but nonetheless will have you rolling on the floor. The play is FREE to students at Eastern who have a current activity sticker and $5.00 per ticket for general admission. We hope you join us for any one of the showings but don’t be surprised if you want to see it again!

The play will be located at the University Theatre Center on the ENMU campus. You can call the UTC at 575-562-2711 for directions or any additional information. Hope to see you there!
