Associated Students Activities Board (ASAB) prepared laser tag for students in the ballroom on Wednesday, October 21.
Inflatable barrels were placed in the room as covers. The room was decorated with Halloween themed items such as some ghost and skulls. The room was dark and each round pitted two teams against one another. Teams consisted of five members each.
There were roughly 20 teams which participated in the event. Many people gathered in front of the ballroom before 7 p.m.
ASAB prepared glow tapes and paints to help team members distinguish one side from the other. Each participant wore a vest with sensors on it and scored points by hitting the vest with lasers.
Vinicius Berno, an international student from Brazil felt laser tag was the “best event ever” held on campus.
“My friend told me it would be a unique experience and suggested [for] me to go,” said Jessica Villafuerte, an exchange student from Mexico. She said she never tried laser tag before and had no idea what it was.
Gabriel Martinez said this event was good and he really wanted to get involved.
Members of the laser tag groups were given the opportunity to name their teams. Several teams chose names like “Minions”, “Avengers”, “The Bone Collectors”, and the “All-Stars”.
