The November 14 fight between Holly Holm and Ronda Rousey was a fight to remember. That was the night Holly Holm defeated the great Ronda Rousey. Holms who has an incredible boxing fighting style used it to her advantage.
Holm had an outstanding boxing career with only one loss in 2011, where after, she went on to pursue her talent in Mixed Martial Arts.
Holm made her Bellator debut on February 28, 2013 in Bellator 91 against Katie Merrill in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
She started out at Fresquez Production double threat in March of 2011 and Clash in cage in September of 2011. Holm then made her way to Bellator, Legacy Fighting Championship, Fresquez again and finally UFC.
In all of her fights including championships she has managed to remain undefeated.
That was thought to change after everyone heard that she was facing Ronda Rousey in UFC 193, and after she hit Rousey at the weigh ins the night before.
Holly told reporters “she has never been hit that hard before in her career, but I’m willing to change that.”
A rematch is currently in discussion.
Due to Holms’ incredible character in and outside of the gym and octagon, she has represented Albuquerque, New Mexico very well.
Due to her class, character, and hard work, the City of Albuquerque named November “Holly Holm month” following UFC 193.
