PSAC Meeting Minutes, February 3, 2016
ENMU will soon put a University wide ban on hover boards until the negative effects of the technology can be resolved.
All Flyers, Merchandise, and paraphernalia must be official and include the CORRECT university branding. (The Zia and the Greyhound Bus Greyhound Symbol will no longer be used on anything produced for ENMU). All organizational purchases must go through a licensed vender of the university.
ENMU Main Organizations/Projects:
Up Till Dawn- As of now the total amount raised is $12,000. Compared to this time last year the total has almost tripled. The goal is still $25,000. Up Till Dawn will be held February 26th.
ASENMU will be holding a Yard Sale to raise money for St. Jude. All donations are appreciated. (February 20th from 8am-10am)
ASENMU is still allocating money to help organizations with conferences, merchandise, and more. The meetings are held every other Tuesday.
Students Concerns is March 3rd 11am-1pm.
ASAB/ASENMU is giving away 400 free tickets to the Harlem Globetrotters. The Event is February 11th.
Eastern in Action- ENMU’s community service outreach will be April 2nd.
Safe Ride- A shot of reality (March 9th at 7pm.
ASAB- Basketball game tonight VS Kingston. Open Mic Night on February 4th @7pm. Movie Night Next Monday- February 8th.
AIGA will be holding a raffle for a night stay for two at the Inn of the Mountain Resort and Casino in Mescalero, NM. Tickets can be bought from any AIGA Member (Once we have them and they are priced)
International Club will be holding the Chinese Banquet this Friday the 5th at 6pm. At the silent auction all the proceeds from an important item will be donated to St. Jude.
Kappa Sigma will be holding a time management Seminar next week the 10th at 7pm. Also, the frat will be hosting a Business (management) presentation with more information on that soon. The frat will also be selling some type of tickets to raise money for Veterans.
Spanish Club tabled in Herford, Texas and raised over $400 for Up Till Dawn
Zeta Tau Alpha will be tabling at the Pink-out basketball games on February 17th.
March is Women’s History Month
African American Heritage Month has kicked off their first event and will continue to have events all February.
Students for Bernie, the political student organization, will be holding meet and great on February 24th at 5pm to provide the students a free forum to learn and express their political views and pick up the political jargon.
The Professional Development Dinner will be February 23rd at 6pm. This is Mandatory for student organization members.
Draco Miller gave an introduction to the New Director of Campus Life, Ron Williams, who comes all the way from New York. Draco also gave a reminder that the student’s first duty is to their schooling and their grades.
