ENMU Promotes Students' Well-Being
Eastern New Mexico University offers a variety of services on campus. This is done to both promote the well-being of students, and to equip them with the resources they will need to succeed in the modern world. Counseling and Career Services is located in the Student Academic Services Building (SAS), Room 232. Students can find a myriad of resources for both undergraduate, and post-graduate success.
Career Services offers a range of services, free of charge to students. ENMU provides student jobs all across campus, ranging from the Post Office all the way to the Information Technology Services (ITS) HelpDesk. Career Services is able to help students find open positions on campus, which opens up opportunities to build your work experience and add to your resume. As an undergraduate, Career Services is able to assist students in finding campus jobs, help prepare resumes and cover letters, and even give coaching on interview skills. Certain majors require practicum placements or internships in order to graduate. Career Services is also able to assist students in finding these, on top of hosting two annual job fairs on campus that help students network with potential employers.
Counseling Services provides students with resources to make sure their college experience is memorable and productive. Licensed counselors are available by appointment to help students with short-term issues such as anger management, anxiety, depression and relationship problems. These services are free and confidential. There are also times when these issues present themselves immediately and cannot be put off. For this reason, students have access to an on-call crisis counselor at 575.607.5689.
U-Lifeline is a site that offers information to students regarding wellness and mental health. Students are able to visit ulifeline.org and log in by searching for “Eastern New Mexico University” on the site prompt.
