On Oct. 17, the ENMU Women’s Soccer Team took on Saint Edwards University here at Greyhound Stadium. The game kicked off at 7:30 p.m. Eastern struggled throughout to keep St. Edward out of the scoring position, allowing 25 shot attempts (13 of them on goal) but still managed to keep the score close due to an excellent performance by goalkeeper Whitney Dockweiler. Dockweiler totaled 11 saves in the match. Redshirt sophomore midfielder Desiree Morgas scored Eastern’s sole point on a free kick and tied the match with the time at 41:21. The goal assisted by true freshman defender Kensie Mitchell. Eastern made a late push to tie the game in the 75th minute after St. Edwards reclaimed the lead, with quality on goal shot attempts from forwards Josefina Villa and Karina Martinez. Ultimately, the Greyhounds were unable to capitalize off of good shot attempts and fell short to St. Edwards with the final score being 2-1. The Greyhounds overall record was 4-5-1 after this game.
