Netflix Recommendations to Pass the Time In Quarantine

As we are in the midst of another long week in quarantine, passing the time can probably be hard; watching the same things over and over again can be unbearable. Also, since many of us are now at home with our family, it can be hard to find something that people of all ages can and would like to watch. Here are a couple of recommendations of a movie and TV show on Netflix that are fine for people of most ages to watch.

A good TV series on Netflix that can binged is “A Series of Unfortunate Events.” Even though this series sounds kind of dark, it has some comedy in it; for the most part, though, it is a drama. The entire series is available to watch with a total of three seasons and 25 episodes. It is based on the book series of the same name written by Daniel Handler under the pseudonym Lemony Snicket. The series follows three siblings from a wealthy family that have just lost their parents and are being sent to live with Count Olaf, who claims to be a distant relative. However, he only cares about taking their money. They are eventually able to escape and go to people who actually care about them, but Count Olaf goes to great lengths to get them back. While the kids are being passed around to different family members, they start to learn more about their parents and unravel the mystery of what actually happened to them. The series has a PG rating.

“Avengers: Infinity War” is currently available on Netflix; it is a good movie to watch if you need to pass a long period of time because it’s two and a half hours long. Even though it is really long, the entire movie is interesting, and the ending is probably the best part. However, it ends on a cliffhanger, so if you want to know what happens, you have to watch the next installment, “Avengers: Endgame,” which currently is not on Netflix. The movie follows the Avengers, which is a group of superheroes, as they try to stop a bad guy from getting his hands on powerful, mythical stones that could wipe out half of the universe. The movie is rated PG-13. If you do like this movie, there are several other movies that are also in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that star some of the same characters that are in this movie.

There are plenty of other good movies and TV shows to watch on Netflix and all of the other streaming services, but make sure to also be moving around and not lying in the same place all day binge-watching movies.
