ENMU Welcomes African Acrobats in Online Show



Hakuna Matata! Those are the empowering words you will hear as you enter the arena, or in times like this, the Zoom Room.

From getting the crowd on its feet, to having everyone at the edge of their seat, the Zuzu African Acrobats is a show worth watching. They will be showcasing their traditional Tanzanian acrobatic skills at 7 p.m. on February 2, 2021.

The Zoom event will showcase their traditional Tanzanian acrobatic skills set to high energy beats. To find videos of the shows to get a sneak peek on what to expect, you can go to YouTube and type in Zuzu African Acrobats and see some of their most recent videos and even videos all the way back to their first time performing.

The Zuzu Acrobats originate from Mombasa, Kenya and began performing in Feb. of 1999. They have traveled around the world, showcasing the culture and technique from their tribe which originated over 2000 years ago. They first got recognized for their outstanding performance on Americas Got Talent in 2011. That performance got them through the first round and gained them even more recognition. Since then, they have performed at the Super Bowl, Oktoberfest in Washington, and State Fairs around the U.S.

The group consists of 5 men who do things that are out of this world. The shows they put on are ones of love, culture, athleticism, and passion. When performing, they draw the crowd’s attention by doing stunts no ordinary man would dare to do. Their mesmerizing music adds power to the performances and brings out the stories they tell through the stunts. The Zuzu African Acrobats have fans from all over the world.

Recent reviews from the Zuzu's Facebook page state that, "the groups’ performances are 5-star recommendation performances that need to be seen by all". The group puts in countless hours of effort and practice to insure their performances are top tier and safe. Mark Cuban, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks loves watching their performances so much, he annually requests that they perform at the American Airline Center every year.

The Zuzu African Acrobats will be kicking off Black History Month at ENMU with a Zoom performance that you can watch by downloading the Zoom app. Once you obtain the Zoom app you can click on the link provided at the bottom of this page and it will take you to directly to the Zuzu's live performance. Every performances done by this group is memorable and definitely a conversation piece for many years to come. You and your family will enjoy the high-energy and amazing stunts whether you're watching them in person or from the comfort of your living-room via Zoom. The Feb. 2 performance will be a great show to kick off Black History Month and a fun way to learn about the African Culture.
