SGA Prepares for Annual Student Concern Forum
Eastern New Mexico University’s Student Government Association will host the annual Student Concern Forum Wednesday, Oct. 28 in a virtual setting.
The SGA, as well as university administrators, will be in attendance. Hannah Stout, president of the SGA, will facilitate the event. SGA senators will read aloud concerns that have been submitted ahead of time while the appropriate administrator will respond to the submitted concerns in turn. Upon conclusion of addressing all concerns that are submitted prior to the event, the floor will be opened for student attendees to voice any and all concerns or compliments concerning the university.
“We encourage students to attend because they will be able to hear concerns that have been submitted and it may answer concerns other students may have as well,” said Hannah Stout, president of the SGA. “We want to work with students and administrators to make sure that we address concerns and work towards reasonable solutions to improve the University.”
Because the forum will be virtual this semester, students will need to RSVP to receive the link to attend. Students can RSVP by emailing Stout at Hannah.Stout@enmu.edu.
In preparation for the event, Stout said that they ask students to come prepared with any follow-up questions, concerns, or compliments they may have, and to please be respectful and professional while in attendance.
